Wilderness Medical Preparation and Rescue

Develops student knowledge in wilderness rescue and medical emergency preparedness through field simulations for land-based activities.

This course involves moderate to high physical activity and the ability to be active and in the outdoors for a full day in a remote, forested environment. Students participate in weekly day-long off-campus field trips. Students assume any travel and permit/pass costs associated with field trips.

All participants in GCC's outdoor adventure education workshops must review program technical standards and risks and consent to waive liability as a condition of participation.
