Pathways to Advanced Manufacturing

OverviewPre-RequisitesOutcomesCredentials

This 12-week training will prepare you for immediate employment in the booming manufacturing industry. Classes run Monday-Thursday, 4-9:30 p.m. at GCC and Franklin County Technical School.

The training will start with foundational topics such as OSHA-10, Manufacturing Math, Blueprint Reading and Metrology followed by hands-on training that covers Advanced Manufacturing principles such as CAD, CNC mill operations, and CNC lathe operations. Job placement assistance will be provided through our partnership with the MassHire Franklin Hampshire Career Center. Students who successfully complete the program are eligible to receive completion bonuses and safety shoes/work boots—plus the opportunity for up to 160 hours of paid on the job training for graduates.

GCC’s manufacturing programs are offered through a partnership between GCC, Franklin County Technical School, the Franklin-Hampshire Regional Employment Board and Career Centers, area manufacturing companies and community partners to develop and implement new training programs to meet the growing demand in manufacturing.

Funding may be available for eligible participants.

Veterans, women, unemployed and other under-represented groups are especially encouraged to apply. Eligible veterans, dependents and active military members can now use GI Bill funding for this training. Contact veterans@gcc.mass.edu for more information.
