Non-Violent Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) Training & Certification
Format: Instructor-led, in-person, with virtual pre-work assigned
Schedule: Two half-days (9am-2:30pm)
Cost: $175 per student (6 student minimum; 18 student maximum per cohort)
Overview: Through this hands-on, two-day training, participants will learn the essential skills of non-violent crisis prevention and intervention (CPI). Participants will learn the necessity of watching and comprehending all the elements that contribute to problematic behavior and the most effective strategies to intervene in each scenario. While focusing on verbal de-escalation techniques, certain peaceful physical restraint techniques are also taught. The program is designed to help programs (schools, healthcare facilities, group homes, etc.) identify, prevent, and de-escalate crises.
Customizable: The program can be adapted to meet the needs of your specific organization, staff, and the individuals they serve.
Instructor: Corinne Marton has over 20 years of experience in the education field and has been CPI certified for 15 years. She has served as a Paraprofessional, Special Education Teacher, and Special Education Administrator for districts in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Florida. Corinne holds CPI Trainer Certification and has expertise in training both youth and adults in a variety of settings and environments.

At the end of the training, each participant will develop practical techniques to utilize in real world situations in their workplace, community, and home, and will earn CPI Certification.
