Fetal Heart Rate Monitoring: Standard of Care and Best Practices

Overview

GCC is excited to announce a series of MEAC-approved continuing education units (CEUs) for certified professional midwives in the region! Any CPM in need of continued professional development and/or any CPMs pursuing provisional state licensure in Massachusetts is encouraged to enroll in one or more of these CEU courses. All CEUs, if taken together, constitute 50 CEU contact hours that satisfy NARM's requirement for a Midwifery Bridge Certificate.

Learn about the norms and shifting standards of care related to fetal heart rate monitoring in this professional development workshop for practicing midwives. The presence of normal, variable fetal heart tones, especially in labor, is the most valuable and measurable indicator for the care provider, and a deep understanding of the fetal heart rate is essential for any midwife to provide safe and effective care to the fetus and neonate.

This course will be held remote via Zoom.
