ESOL CNA Training Program

Are you ready to enter the healthcare field and make a difference helping those in need?

This 12-week in-person training program combines nursing assistant training, English language training, AND a clinical experience!

Nursing Assistant Training: Massachusetts law requires that anyone planning to work as a nursing assistant in a long term care facility (formerly called nursing homes) complete this required training and pass a state competency exam. The state testing fee is included in tuition. All students who successfully pass this course are qualified to take the MA Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation.

Program Eligibility Requirements:

• Intermediate-Level English Skills
• Able to pass CORI/SORI background check
• Must comply with immunization requirements
• Must be ready to work in healthcare upon completion of the program
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

This is an entry-level course with no pre-requisites. Prospective participants should be prepared to meet the program’s technical requirements.

Graduates of GCC’s CNA program work as direct care providers in a home setting or at a facility, such as an assisted living facility or in a hospital. These highly in-demand jobs offer a starting wage of $15-18 per hour, and they are often the first step in a healthcare career.

Learners who successfully complete this program will earn a Nursing Assistant Certificate of Completion, which meets the educational/clinical hours eligibility requirement to take the Massachusetts state exam to earn a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential.
