Certified Production Technician
This 12-week training is free for those who qualify, and will prepare you for immediate employment in the booming manufacturing industry. Classes run virtually Monday & Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. with six full-day, in-person Saturdays at GCC.
CPT certification is a national industry-recognized credential developed by the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) that is ideal for both entry-level job seekers as well as those looking to grow in their careers. The program focuses on the following key content areas: Safety, Quality Practices & Measurement, and Manufacturing Technology, including Manufacturing Processes, Production and Maintenance. This twelve-week hands-on training program is offered in a flexible hybrid modality.
- Basic math skills
- Basic reading and writing skills
- 18 years or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- MSSC CPT 4.0 Safety Certified
- MSSC CPT 4.0 Quality Practices & Measurement Certified
- MSSC CPT 4.0 Manufacturing Processes & Production Certified
- MSSC CPT 4.0 Maintenance Awareness Certified
