Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner

This non-credit, online course provides flexible learning opportunities, allowing participants to attend instructor-lead sessions, live on Zoom, or to watch the recorded version of the lectures at their own pace. Program participants will explore the fundamentals of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and learn key concepts, services, and best practices to kickstart their journey into cloud computing and AWS expertise. Upon completion, participants will be prepared to take the AWS Cloud Practitioner certification exam. Once certified, participants will be prepared for jobs in nearly any business as an entry-level AWS technician, and to continue into careers and certifications as a Cloud Architect, Cloud Solutions Engineer or Cloud Developer.

This program is delivered over 6 weeks of accelerated content including twice-weekly, live, virtual, instructor-led lectures hosted on Zoom on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-5:30pm EST. Students will have the option to attend these sessions live or to view them independently through a shared recording of the session. The rest of the coursework will be completed asynchronously, and participants should expect to spend roughly 10-12 hours per week on program activities.

• Intent to seek employment within the IT industry

Students who successfully complete this training can gain immediate employment in entry-level IT positions such as AWS Cloud Practitioner: AWS Cloud technician, Junior Cloud Architect, Cloud Solutions Engineer or Cloud Developer
