Succession Planning


This two-day (six hour) workshop is for leaders in the non-profit or for-profit sector to learn and discuss best practices for effective succession planning, led by an industry expert. Key topics include assessment of talent gaps and internal candidates’ readiness for advancement; using assessment data to identify potential successors; best practices for mentoring and coaching to prepare for succession; developing, communicating, and implementing a succession plan; timeline recommendations for leadership transitions; and more. Participants will develop an understanding of the succession planning process and be prepared to implement a plan at their own organization.

This workshop can be delivered over two consecutive days in the same week, or sessions can be scheduled one week apart (i.e. two consecutive Tuesdays). 10 participants min., 25 max., $300 per seat.
